Spirit animals

A lot of people have kind of animal characteristics. Not necessarily in that they look like an animal, but they have a kind of animal aura around them. A friend of mine is a bear I think, but she was surprised when I told her. Bears have a kind of particular significance for me.

I'm a penguin, I think. I have another friend who is a penguin too, even though we aren't really so alike. It's not really a personality type thing

I like small bird types the most.

  1. When I was a little kid my dad would always call me penguino and later on in life when Phil would always draw me as a penguin and himself as a monkey.

I'm not really sure if I have the penguin aura in your books, but the animal certainly has a fond place in my mind!

    p.s. that penguin is adorable!
p.p.s. I will talk to you about the e-mail you sent me in class today. :)

  2. Sorry I haven't commented! I've been in mirror world for what seemed like years. Upon my return, I realized only 2 weeks had passed.

I can half relate to this post of yours. Perhaps we are all part animal in spirit. I have yet to discover my own creature. But my eyes are wide open!

Marvelous drawings since the "birds en vrac"! Still enjoying your art! Good day, M!

  3. Hey Meghan, how's it hangin'? Nice blog! You've got the skills. I don't think that you look like a fourteen year old girl in your drawings, incidentally. Insofar as spirit animals go I think I might be a bear. Someone used to tell me that. I think it had something to do with eating more honey than a man should eat. See you in class.
